Social and emotional learning (SEL) has become a buzzword in the education world in recent years, and for good reason SEL refers to the process through which students acquire and apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive social and emotional learning in schools.
